Trying out a new touring route
We took a weekend out of our busy renovation schedule to test out some routes.
HD camera mounted on my bike to capture some video footage for the touring section of the website:

A stop for lunch in a nice town:
Towards the end of the trip I noticed Ro was no longer in my mirrors so I turned round to see what the problem was. I had no idea that the frame had snapped on her bike!
The bike was unrideable with no left footpeg so I got my tools out to see what I could do to temporarily fix the issue so we could ride home. I had a pair of pliers and a spare clutch cable on me so was able to fix the bike to get us home. I will hopefully be able to get the frame TIG welded as a permanent repair later on.
More pictures from the day can be seen below and I will update the blog at a later date when I have edited the video footage.
Green laning trip
After preparing the bikes for off roading it was time to test them out.
There are hundreds of off road tracks surrounding our house and you could spend weeks exploring them on different routes each day.
Armed with a simple printed map of off road tracks from the local tourist office we set off to explore the trails.
We also got some HD video footage which will be uploaded to the ridelimousin website later on. I will also link to it from the blog.
Working on the bikes
My brother was over from England on a visit and we decided to do some work on the bikes.
We changed the wheel bearings on the XR250, changed the petrol tank and fuel filter, fitted a new chain and sprocket kit to the CBR600 (which involved removing the swing arm as it was an endless chain), cleaned and adjusted the carb on the XT225 plus a few other odd jobs.
The CBR600 hanging from the Barn tie bar with no swing arm: We also serviced the Citroen and fitted some new audio kit to the car.

Painting the loft
Car
The car is now re-registered and sporting French plates. I just need to practice my tail gating techniques to integrate with the locals.
Still trying to register the 4 motorbikes, which is proving very taxing. 2 of them are not recognized in France and maybe almost impossible to re-reg and the other 2 are almost ready to register.....
